Before reading this, I've posted some back up reading material or videos. feel free to comment or whatever.
Plants have amazing talent. We wouldn't be where we are today without them. This speaks for everyone. I wake up everyday and appreciate the air that's provided to me by these marvelous organisms. I often wonder what a day in a life of a plant would be like. To create my own food, to feel the sun's rays on my soft smooth and green leaves that supply me energy, to develop my own cycle for self feeding at night. I'd say it probably isn't as easy as it looks. Unfortunately I am not writing this to describe all my wonderful experiences I've had with plants.

Unfortunately I must write about something a lot more tragic. It involves our good friend farmer Monsanto*. If you haven't heard, he helps supply our population with the food us humans need to survive. This is by means of Genetically Modified Organisms. These GMOs were developed by scientists, Stanley Cohen and Herbert Boyer, shortly after discovering the DNA helix. They "precisely "manufacture" new sequences that produce a desirable effect in a living organism"1. This is to say that thanks to GMO's we can now easily produce mass amounts of food more efficiently. Plants are now modified to grow bigger, grow quicker, and reduce infestations. To find more facts... just do your own research, there's plenty out there.
The development and use of these GMO's has gotten out of control. I understand the benefits of feeding more people but to what costs? There have been no direct study showing harm in humans by ingesting these GMO products, but what about other living creatures? As I said, GMO's help reduce infestation on farms for a more reliable crop yield. This is done by putting chemically synthesized product in the seed or round up that will be acidic for the predators body. This is a good thing it would seem but how can we be so sure the GMO's arent doing the same to our body but at a slower pace? GMO's haven't been around and as available till 20 years ago. For instance, how long did it take us to figure out the deadly costs of smoking cigarettes before public awareness was large scale? There have also been studies done on pigs and rats that showed significant results with eating GMO's vs NON GMO food. There seems to be a pattern. The rats and pigs that consumed GMO's had stomach ulcers, kidney abnormalities, and inflammation. It's like a scary zombie movie with deadly plants. Oh wait, we already have this in form of a game Plants Vs Zombies. Maybe you've heard of it. Maybe the beautiful plants that shoot the zombies are really representing the Human species consuming massive amounts of GMO's a day.. could this be the first conditioning to ease the blow of human kinds downfall. I dont want to have to tell future generations that I just sit by and let this happen. So maybe the plants vs zombies thing is a little too out there, but there are many theories and suspicions going on.

The people leading this nation are not helping either. I think they are feeding off of this type of corruption because they (unlike most of the population *United States of America) they have the money and opportunities to eat organic and healthy food. All anyone in politics of business cares about nowadays is profit maximizing, how to get on top, how to stay on top, being one step ahead of other 1st world nations. They completely ignore the common people. First they feed us bad food, than, as we age our immune system starts to fade and we are weak, next you know we are in debt over our heads to spend money on hospital bills and not to mention having to pay for medicine and shots to keep an old lady going. Sorry I'm getting ahead of myself... or maybe I'm just the right amount ahead? Either way, we are only as well off and strong as the food we consume because that is what gives us our energy. What do I want most in this world? Clean Energy.
We are only as good as the food we consume and the air we breathe. I want clean energy not just for me, but for every living organism in the world. Yes, the food I eat is important but how about the run-off of these pesticides that make their way into areas that were before GMO free. Clarifying that "before GMO free" means the piece of land that did not other wise have any traces of GMO plants being harvested in that area in any period of time. Well than, how did Farmer Monsanto get his product there? Rain, water run-off, wind, other animals that have developed a antibody against the #deadlytomatoes!

so in other words. lets all eat organic and not be fooled by the higher authorities. Do your own research and buy locally.
links to help with that too! :)
